Pillow Talk – DIY Bed Pillow from Old Dress

I thought it would be fun to scour the thrift store for some fun dresses to recycle into my bed pillows for my Sweet Master Makeover.  I found the dress above for $3.  I loved how the pattern itself is big, but it can also look like a small pattern as well.  Haven’t you ever heard of putting large patterns with small patterns?
I put this fabric onto my pillow and thought it went great with the small chevron pillow, and the large, floral print pillow.
I feel like bed pillows (and couch pillows) are such important accessories in your room.  They add color, pattern, and texture.  Especially where I did all white bedding, I wanted to make sure my pillows really did the bed justice.
This cute little pillow is sitting on my wicker chair.  I love these colors together, they are so fresh!  My sweet Grandma made me this doily years ago and it just adds the perfect texture and touch!
This amazing fabric was found at Hobby Lobby and I actually based my whole bedroom makeover around it!  I love the colors and pattern!

Well, I don’t have a dress to make a pillow from. But I know my wife does. The problem is I don’t think she’d appreciate the idea. Oh well…ReplyCancel

Hey, I'm Kami!

Welcome to the blog

Wife to my Jr. High sweetheart, mother to three daughters. I have always loved being social and staying connected with other people who have similar interests to me. I started a blog back in 2010 and have been in the social networking scene since then. I love meeting new people and helping them feel confident, and see their own beauty.
