All ready, all dressed up, full-make up on, and hair done by a professional.  This is the picture you see above.  It was taken by my sister who is a photographer.  I may have told her to erase a few wrinkles, airbrush a few blemishes…don’t we all feel great when we get ready and feel beautiful?  …on the outside!

Above is my picture without make-up!!  I was super-nervous to reveal my no make-up face to the world.  I have acne scars, wrinkles, un-even skin tone, and sundamage to my face.  I even have a smaller left eye and when I smile it sometimes disappears when I don’t have make-up on!  Hahaha!  Oh boy, listen to me tear myself apart.  This is not good!  Why do we do this to ourselves?

 But guess what?  I have to tell you that my most favorite part of the day is at night when I dress down in my nightgown, pull my hair up into a pony, and wash my make-up off.  It feel so good to clean my face at the end of the day.  And though I don’t love people seeing me that way, I feel so good and so fresh.  I am still the same me underneath it all.

Make-up can cover up so many blemishes, but it doesn’t cover up who we truly are inside.  No matter how much make-up we put on your face, people can always see who we really are.

I hope that you know who I really am.  I hope that behind the screen of my computer you know that I am a kind, loving, and caring human being.  That I love who I am inside and out, even without make-up, curled hair, and trendy clothes.
