Easy Lion Makeup Tutorial

halloween makeup
I am not one for buying Halloween costumes for myself.  It just doesn’t make sense to buy one and wear it once or twice!  Since my girls like it when I’m a “fun mom” and dress-up, I decided makeup can be powerful enough for a costume.  So this year I am sharing my easy lion makeup tutorial for you!

I had two pictures in my head of how I wanted this to look:  a soft lioness look with soft curls and a softer face, then a very fierce lion with more harsh lines and a crazy mane.
Here is the fierce lion look:

Easy Lion Makeup Tutorial:

Products used:
Highlight – Moonlit with this brush
Contour Color – Cinnamon with this brush
Nose and dark eyeliner – Cola with this brush
Eyebrows – Shadow with this brush
Eyelids – GLOW and Trust using this brush
Blended with this amazing blender
All-over translucent setting powder
Tomas tanning spray

*All of these products are actual makeup, no cheap Halloween makeup.  It lasted all day and felt lightweight and didn’t make me break out!  It is safe to use on children too!

I crimped my hair and I have to say, I love that it made my hair so thick!  You can view the tutorial on my YouTube channel HERE.

I used the same makeup tutorial for this softer look but went a little lighter underneath my eyes.

This look was a lot softer.  The curls were easy and although I don’t have a tutorial on the hair, a lot of people asked how I did it.  Basically, I curled my hair tight to my head all going back, away from my face.  On the top and around my face, I held the curls right after I curled them, then just simply pinned them to my head.  Just rat and tease the rest of your hair for volume and you should be all set!

Have you seen all of the amazing looks that you can do for Halloween with makeup?  It’s incredible!  What will you be for halloween?

    Hey, I'm Kami!

    Welcome to the blog

Wife to my Jr. High sweetheart, mother to three daughters. I have always loved being social and staying connected with other people who have similar interests to me. I started a blog back in 2010 and have been in the social networking scene since then. I love meeting new people and helping them feel confident, and see their own beauty.
