A few things are getting me excited about Spring.  One of them is being able to wear floral prints again.  There is something about florals that make me happy and this Zia floral skirt is making me very happy!  I love the blush color paired with navy, the perfect combo for Spring in my opinion.  Plus, the soft, stretchy material is so comfortable.  Let me tell you why I think it’s important to own that floral pencil skirt, girl!

When I decided to own it…

I remember a few years ago trying on a pencil skirt for the first time.  I felt like maybe I wasn’t ready to jump on the “pencil skirt train” at the time.  In my mind, it was hugging me a little too snug in places I wasn’t very confident in, like my hips.  It took me a little while to warm up to the idea of wearing them, but after a while I started to, and I fell in love.  I decided that not only were pencil skirts trendy, but they were in fact flattering.  A women’s body is supposed to be curvy, and pencil skirts show those curves beautifully.

I am happy to say that I am now a pencil skirt lover.  They are feminine and show our curves, you just need to own it and be confident!  Pair it with your favorite blouse tucked in or out.  I am always a fan of wearing my favorite heels or high ankle boots with them.  If it isn’t quite warm enough to wear with short sleeves, throw on an oversized cardigan on top!
