My Tips to a Smooth Early Morning Workout

Never in my mind did I ever think that I could get up at 4:40am every morning and go to the gym.  I have been doing this for almost a year and a half now and it’s just a part of my every day routine now.  There are a few things that I do to prepare myself so that my early mornings go a little smoother.  Watch this video I put together to see what I do before I go to be every night!

#1:  Set the stuff that you will be taking with you on the counter the night before you go.  This might be a protein bar, iPad/iPod, earphones, keys, etc.
#2:  Fill up your water bottle the night before you go and put it in the fridge so it’s ready for you to grab on your way out.
#3:  Mix it up.  If you have a long treadmill workout, try watching instead of listening.  I take my phone or iPad and watch a new series so that I am excited to wake up in the morning and see what happens next in the show I’m watching!  I have Hulu downloaded on my devices and my gym has free WiFi.
#4:  Get your workout clothing ready to go the night before.  Set them in your closet so that you don’t wake up your spouse and this also saves you 5 minutes in the morning so that you get that much more sleep!
#5:  Keep other things you need only for the gym in the console in your car.  These may be: earphones, a workout paper, workout gloves, etc.
#6:  Go with a friend!  This will help you to not hit your snooze button because you know that they will be counting on seeing you at the gym!
Happy Workout!

These are great tips! One other thing I like to do the night before is choose my workout for the next day. That way I can get started as soon as I get there!ReplyCancel

Hey, I'm Kami!

Welcome to the blog

Wife to my Jr. High sweetheart, mother to three daughters. I have always loved being social and staying connected with other people who have similar interests to me. I started a blog back in 2010 and have been in the social networking scene since then. I love meeting new people and helping them feel confident, and see their own beauty.
