Colorful Play Scarves for Kids

I wanted to tell you about these fun and colorful scarves that the girls have been playing with lately.  I got these about a month ago HERE and thought that they would be great for the girls’ imaginations.  They are basically big squares that come in different colors for them to use however they want.

They use them for dressing up by using them as scarves.  Lately they put them on their heads and say they are ghosts!  We try and play games with them by using them as a ‘parachute’.  We will all hold a corner and put balls on top and bounce them around in the middle.  I have been trying to teach my two year old about colors and these have been fun learning tools for teaching her.

Here are a few other things we do with these:

They are used so much by the kids in so many different ways and like I said, it triggers their imagination!
The girl who sells these came up with a few costume ideas made from these scarves!  Some of them are no-sew and they are all darling!

Superhero

Clown

Peacock

Check out Simply Sweet Fabric to buy these scarves and also for some of the cutest, vintage-looking fabric you will see! Also, you can watch a little TV segment she did explaining the costumes a little better HERE.

    Hey, I'm Kami!

    Welcome to the blog

Wife to my Jr. High sweetheart, mother to three daughters. I have always loved being social and staying connected with other people who have similar interests to me. I started a blog back in 2010 and have been in the social networking scene since then. I love meeting new people and helping them feel confident, and see their own beauty.
