Our Trip to Cabo Part 2. Things to Do

We had so much fun on our relaxing trip to Cabo.  You can read about Part 1 HERE.  To continue telling you about our trip, mostly we went for relaxation!  The beach was right below the house we were staying at.  We would walk down there on a cobblestone road in Pedregal and once we were down there, we literally had the whole beach to ourselves.  There weren’t a lot of people down there at any given time.  I’m guessing the reason for this was because the waves were pretty big and the undercurrent was dangerous so it wasn’t a ‘swim’ beach.  The beach was beautiful though, and we just loved going down there to hear the waves crash and to lay out.  We also loved to climb on some of the huge rocks.
We loved going down to the marketplace and bargaining for some authentic handmade Mexican items.  We bought the girls some darling dresses and I wanted them all, they were beautiful.  I snapped a picture of them on Sunday:
The one thing you must get used to when traveling to Mexico is that you will be bugged.  Bugged into buying silver, bugged into certain excursions, …bugged into putting foreign animals on your head…  🙂  But remember, everything comes with a price!
We were able to go see the famous “El Arco” from a boat and it was beautiful.  They offer glass bottom boats for $10.  I learned an interesting fact about this arch.  Notice in the picture below that there is sand underneath the arch.  Our boat guide said that the sand is constantly moving and changing around ‘Land’s End’, and that the beach is visible underneath the arch only every 4-6 weeks and it happened to show up just about two days before we were there and only stayed for a few days.  The other days there is water directly underneath the arch like in the picture below this one.

I found that so interesting that I read up on it a little more.  After research I found that about every 4 to even 15 years the sand moves so much that there is a full beach surrounding this arch, and you can get out an walk right under it!  Like, look at this picture I found on Google of some random couple:

Isn’t this so interesting??  So next time you’re headed to Cabo, check up on what the tide/sand is like around the Arch.  Maybe you will be one of those lucky people that find yourself standing in front of the Arch!

While we were out on the boat we saw some Sea Lions.  Our guide said that we most likely wouldn’t be seeing any because it was mating season.  I was excited to see these cute and funny little creatures.  We were able to see two males fight over a female and one of the males threw the other off the rock and into the ocean!  It was so funny, I wish I had it on video!

The sunsets from our balcony were beautiful.  I loved the time of night when we would get home from eating dinner and it would be the perfect time for a nice sunset picture!

And shortly after that, the light of the perfect, full moon would be glistening off the endless ocean.  (don’t I sound so poetic?!)  We would get in the hot tub under the full moon and it was so bright we didn’t even need any lights on!  We loved sitting there, listening to the waves crash up against the rocks below us.
To top everything off, it was a wonderful trip, just what we needed.  We had a wonderful time with my husband’s parents, I adore them both and they were great traveling buddies!
I was the annoying girl who posted Instagram pictures of my trip.  As if you aren’t already sick of me, here are some of the Instagram pictures that I posted.

Hey, I'm Kami!

Welcome to the blog

Wife to my Jr. High sweetheart, mother to three daughters. I have always loved being social and staying connected with other people who have similar interests to me. I started a blog back in 2010 and have been in the social networking scene since then. I love meeting new people and helping them feel confident, and see their own beauty.
