melts in your mouth {not in your hand}

These little cuties have been a favorite in our family for a while now.  They are the perfect cookie to make for parties, showers, Easter, etc.  Aren’t they so cute??
Although they’ve been around in our family for a while, I have to admit, I made them better when I was a newlywed than I do now!  They are kind of temperamental – – but OH-SO-GOOD!  These aren’t called ‘Meltaways’ for nothing, they literally melt in your mouth!  I made them the other day for the first time in a while.  Here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
1/2 lb. butter (2 sticks), softened
3/4 C. corn starch
1/3 C. powdered sugar
1 C. flour

Beat butter then add dry ingredients.  The mixture will seem somewhat dry when ready to break off into balls.  Use teaspoon size portions of dough and roll into balls.  Place on un-greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 9-12 minutes until barely brown.  Don’t over-bake!

Frosting:

I just use a basic cream cheese frosting for these.  Any frosting tastes great!  …Enjoy

    Hey, I'm Kami!

    Welcome to the blog

    Wife to my Jr. High sweetheart, mother to three daughters. I have always loved being social and staying connected with other people who have similar interests to me. I started a blog back in 2010 and have been in the social networking scene since then. I love meeting new people and helping them feel confident, and see their own beauty.
