Many weeks ago, I received a letter from a friend that read the following:
This is a book exchange. That’s right, a book exchange! Send one book to the child listed below, then move your child up to the top line. Then send a copy of this letter to six friends, and you should end up receiving 36 books back, and you only send one out! This isn’t a chain letter. Just a letter for fun!If you can’t do it in one week, please notify me, as it is unfair to the children who are participating and are waiting for their own books. . . . Seldom does anyone drop out because, as you know, children love to receive mail as well as
books!
Please don’t spoil the fun by stopping the flow of books for the children. Please join us, but if you can’t please let me know as soon as possible.
Some of you may have done this before as well. I usually don’t love chain letters (let’s be honest, this IS a chain letter), but this sounded so much fun! So, I sent my letters out and figured, “if I only get one or two books back, it will still be worth it”. Needless to say, I know of three of my people who didn’t do it. But I still received about 5 books and am still waiting to get more. Charli loves getting packages in the mail!
This gave me the idea to start a different letter. There are so many things that you could do, but I decided to start a ‘Bow’ exchange letter. I mean, who has daughters and doesn’t love getting new bows?? So,
...Sorry for this interruption, but I had to take a brief intermission. I smelled Vicks vaporub and went to check on the girls. They were rubbing it on my walls, and found the almost-new bottle empty now! I guess that’s what I get for blogging while they’re both awake and board! Just thought that was funny and had to share!
It’s a “Bow Exchange”!!
Okay, back to what I was saying. If anyone wants a copy of this bow letter and wants to be one of the firsts on the list, please e-mail me (info@kamiwatson.com), with your address, and I will send you the letter and you can start it with your friends. The benefit of being the first to send this letter is that you won’t have to send any bows, you just send the letter out to your friends! So be the first! 🙂
Hope to be hearing from you!
I have two boys of my own but 7 nieces that I’m always getting my girly girl fix on. This would be great! 😀 I’m sending an email to you right now. 😀
I found your blog when googling the book exchange chain letter. How CUTE! I love that you changed it up. I didn’t love the original chain letter itself, so I created my own version and posted a printable to my website: kaenie.com
