The sun bag and the essentials you need to have in it.

You know those items you always take with you in the summer to the pool, the park, the amusement park? Are you scrambling to gather them altogether before you leave the house? Do you keep them in a special place or bag? Let me tell you about the sun bag and all the essentials you need to have in it…

Last summer, I learned that I just need to keep all my sun essentials in my car. I never knew when I would end up stopping at the park or last-minute deciding we wanted to stop at the pool and swim.

I picked up a cute waterproof bag (from Walmart) and decided it would be a good idea to put in it all the items my kids and I need for the sun. This bag is small enough that I can put it into my larger pool bag, or just the right size to put underneath the umbrella stroller at the amusement park.

Here are the items I have put in my sunbag:

Sunscreen – the spray kind and the face kind.

Lotion – for after swimming.

Setting spray with SPF – who likes to keep reapplying greasy sunscreen over top of their makeup? Not me! This makeup setting spray can be reapplied all day without any of the annoying things about sunscreen.

Advil – for those headaches I get when I am out in the sun all day.

Flavor on-the-go packets – to spice up my water and help me drink more!

Elastics and bobby pins – has anyone noticed that plastic elastics break when they are exposed to sun, chlorine or sunscreen? Nothing makes me more mad than when we are out and about and my girls’ hair elastics break! I always have extra on hand.

Travel size leave-in conditioner and a pick – for after swimming. My girls’ hair gets pretty tangled.

Bandaids – you never know when you’ll need one.

Lip balm – for those dry, chappy lips.

A couple bucks – for those poolside snacks!

So gather all of your sun essentials and place them in a cute, waterproof bag! You’ll always have it with you and can grab it on-the-go to make your summer days easy breezy!

    Hey, I'm Kami!

    Welcome to the blog

Wife to my Jr. High sweetheart, mother to three daughters. I have always loved being social and staying connected with other people who have similar interests to me. I started a blog back in 2010 and have been in the social networking scene since then. I love meeting new people and helping them feel confident, and see their own beauty.
