IKEA Christmas Advent Class at Pinners

The countdown is on people!  Christmas is less than 2 months away and though I love Thanksgiving, I’m starting to feel the holiday spirit already!  This past weekend I had the opportunity to teach at Pinners Conference.  I teamed up with my friend Staci from ThePotters-Place and IKEA to provide a make-and-take class.  We chose to make Christmas Advents using IKEA items.

Staci and I actually taught two classes at the conference.  For our first class we made these cute ruffled lamp shades from IKEA items, that was a success!  You see, I am obsessed with this blanket from IKEA and I have made many items from it HERE.

Anyways, back to the Christmas advent… here are Staci and I with Celeste, our friend from IKEA who also helped us out with the class.  In fact, if it weren’t for her and IKEA this class would not have been able to be free!  Yes, I said free!
We handed out these IKEA frames to everyone that attended (there were about 130 people there!).  We also had a variety of items from IKEA’s new paper line there.  Did you know they have a paper line now?  It is amaaaaazing!  So many fun items such as wrapping paper, ribbon, gift tags, note pads, washi-tape, and more.  Yes, I said washi-tape!  When everyone had their items we said, “have at it!”  We wanted to see all of the different ideas that came about from everyone’s creative minds.  I loved walking around and seeing all of the different ideas and techniques that were implemented!

They all embellished their countdowns differently.  Some people made junk bows, some wrapped their frames in ribbon…
We had such a great time!  I loved having the opportunity to mingle with so many fun and talented women.  It was so much fun getting to meet new people and meet some of my readers!  Thanks to everyone who came and if you are one of the people in these pictures, thanks for letting me post them!

Hey, I'm Kami!

Welcome to the blog

Wife to my Jr. High sweetheart, mother to three daughters. I have always loved being social and staying connected with other people who have similar interests to me. I started a blog back in 2010 and have been in the social networking scene since then. I love meeting new people and helping them feel confident, and see their own beauty.
