School is right around the corner and I have my very first Kindergartener starting! I thought I would make a fun gift for her new teacher to start off the school year on the bright note. I took Charli to Staples with me and she chose out a rainbow colored pack of Sharpies, and while we were at it, I couldn’t resist the metallic pack for myself!
There is nothing like a fresh pack of Sharpies. I don’t know what it is about them but I love to use them, especially in the world of DIY. I figured this would be a great teacher gift because there are so many things teachers can do or create in their classroom that involve Sharpies. We went with the ultra fine tipped markers. You can find all fine, ultra fine, and highlighters on sale at Staples while supplies last HERE.
I made a fun printable that is available for free for you to attach to your teacher gift. You can download and print it HERE.
I think it’s fun to have the writing line at the bottom of this printable for the child to write his/her name.
Isn’t it fun how it personalizes the gift? Don’t you just love when little kids write their name?
Wrap this up cute and you have the perfect gift to give the teacher on the first day of school. I recycled an old can with fabric and made it cute (tutorial here). Then I put the printable on the front. The markers are wrapped in cellophane and we put them into the can.
Have a great year!

Wife to my Jr. High sweetheart, mother to three daughters. I have always loved being social and staying connected with other people who have similar interests to me. I started a blog back in 2010 and have been in the social networking scene since then. I love meeting new people and helping them feel confident, and see their own beauty.
