Younique 3D Fiber Lash Mascara Review + 8 Tips for Application
You have been seeing them everywhere on social media, before and after pictures of girls wearing 3D Fiber Lash Mascara from Younique. You think to yourself, “Is this really as great as everyone says it is?” After seeing and hearing about it more and more my curiosity started to grow. I thought I would try it for myself to see if it really lives up to the hype we are all hearing about. Here is my honest review of the product plus a few tips to help you get the most of your application.
First of all, I am very picky when it comes to my lashes; yes, picky. I know that sounds silly but my eyes are temperamental. I have what I call, “squinty eyes”. They appear very small and sometimes if I smile really big you cannot even see my eyeballs! Laugh Out Loud, it’s okay – it’s true. Because I have smaller eyes, I try to be careful how I apply my eye makeup. If I apply too much, obviously I look like a racoon. If I don’t apply enough, ‘squinty eyes’ occurs.
One thing I have found that helps with ‘squinties’ is having length but not thickness. I cannot wear ‘spider leg lashes’ because it makes my lashes appear heavy and in turn makes my eyes appear closed. I had to find a way to make my lashes longer without having the added weight.
WITH AND WITHOUT
I feel like Younique’s Fiber Lash mascara does this for me. Now, don’t get me wrong, it is very easy to get carried away and over-apply. Everyone has their own opinions on how thick they like to apply, but the second I start getting clumps is the moment I begin picking at my lashes…all…day…long!
Practice is something you need to consider when first using 3D Fiber Lash. The first day I applied it, I didn’t wear enough. The second day, I had thick spider-leg lashes. Heck, I’m still trying to get it perfect.
One thing I noticed about Fiber Lash is that it doesn’t wipe off with just my make-up wipes alone. Granite, I don’t use the best make-up wipes, but when I wipe off my normal mascara it comes off so easily. I am not saying that’s a bad thing, it’s actually good because you know that it will last longer throughout the day. I just thought I’d throw that in so you are aware. **When I wear this mascara I end up taking it off with a liquid make-up remover**
Just a little note: I do not wear this on my bottom lashes, just my top. I like to just wear my normal mascara on the bottom lashes because I feel like my bottom lashes don’t need length and I like to keep them light as mentioned before.
I recommend this to anyone that does not have or want lash extensions. Here is the thing, I don’t wear this every day, especially now that it’s summer time. Lets face it, I am a stay-at-home mom and there are days I hardly even leave the house! I want to save the mascara for special nights when I go out with my husband or friends.
Before putting your first coat of the transplanting gel and fibers on, open both bottles to ensure your lashes will still be wet for fibers.
