Kid-Friendly Chocolate Protein Smoothie

“This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Nestle, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia  #BreakfastEssentials http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

My girls are so funny, every time they see me drink my protein smoothie, they think they need one too.  I have been making them a ‘special’ protein smoothie for a few years now that they love!  It is made with
Carnation Breakfast Essentials powder.  I call the smoothie our Kid-Friendly Chocolate Protein Smoothie.

The reason why I love making this for them on busy mornings is for a number of reasons.  First, my younger daughter does not like milk.  I worry about her calcium intake.  Both of my daughters will not eat meat and I worry about them getting any protein.  This smoothie is great for them because Breakfast Essentials packets have 13g of protein and as much calcium as a 6oz cup of yogurt.  It gives me piece of mind that my girls get what they need from this drink.  Plus, they really like it.
I picked up my box of Carnation Breakfast Essentials at Walmart.  You can use a coupon HERE for $1.00 off!

Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.  It should be thick and creamy.  Makes two kid-sized portions or one adult portion.

Yum! My daughter loves protein shakes, too–which is odd, because I think they are disgusting (at least the ones my hubs drinks)!ReplyCancel

Hey, I'm Kami!

Welcome to the blog

Wife to my Jr. High sweetheart, mother to three daughters. I have always loved being social and staying connected with other people who have similar interests to me. I started a blog back in 2010 and have been in the social networking scene since then. I love meeting new people and helping them feel confident, and see their own beauty.
