Flowers make me happy and in the last week I have planted soooo many! Flowers cost more money than I thought and because I had already spent a lot of money on them, I didn’t want to spend more money buying new pots. So I decided to recycle a few old, ugly pots I’ve had sitting in my garage for years. I decided to make some polka dot flower pots!
Terra cotta pots are pretty inexpensive, really. I had about 4 in my garage that I wanted to re-do. I happened to have a few cans of this pretty blue spray paint as well so I spray painted them and then I put a stone sealer over the top to protect from the weather.
Here is where the polka dots come into play: vinyl. We all know that I have a ton of vinyl on hand from Expressions Vinyl so I used what I already had. Make sure you use the outdoor vinyl so your polka dot pot lasts through the watering and weathering. I cut the circles out using my Cricut Explore and it only took a few minutes.
These are kind of addicting to make and I want to make so many color combinations but I am out of flowers and should probably be done buying any more! Maybe next year I will add to my collection. What colors would you use if you were to make a polka dot flower pot?
If you have terra cotta pots and saucers lying around, here are some more ways that I have shared that you can re-use them:
What a great idea! I love the color you chose!
Looks super summery! Love the makeover!

I just sent this link to my sis who is doing a front porch/yard overhaul. I think it’s adorable.
I love this! It looks so happy. I’m gonna have to make some for my garden.
So cute! This would be fun to do for my front porch!
