Fabric-Wrapped Tin Can – Recycle!

I am so excited to be sharing this recycled project with you today – these were seriously so much fun to make!  Fabric-wrapped tin cans will soon become your newest obsession!  Start saving up your tin cans people!!

I got this cute cart from IKEA that I’d been eying forever!  I needed some storage options that were cute so I thought about wrapping the tin cans in fabric, rather than just spray painting them!  I didn’t spend a dime on this project because I went straight to my fabric stash and used some of my scraps.

For the fabric-wrapped tin cans, just peel off the wrappers and wash the cans out and let dry.

All you need is Modpodge to adhere the fabric to the cans.  Just apply a generous amount directly to your can with a brush then wrap the pre-cut fabric around it.
So, so easy and only takes a few minutes.  I am thinking these would be fun to wrap gifts in, what do you think?!  Will you be making any fabric-wrapped tin cans?!
On another note:  I have thought and thought about other fun things I can do with my cart.  Since I don’t have a craft room, this cart is sitting in my pantry but is definitely serving it’s purpose!  I have all my sewing tools sitting on it right now and paper, and junk.

Besides just serving a purpose as a craft cart, I have also thought about making it into a cute side table in my kitchen with cute plants on it and some picture frames.  I love this idea but that would totally defeat the purpose I bought it for: Craft Storage!  Maybe I need two of them, haha!  Do you have one?  What do you use it for?  I would love to hear your ideas!

Hey, I'm Kami!

Welcome to the blog

Wife to my Jr. High sweetheart, mother to three daughters. I have always loved being social and staying connected with other people who have similar interests to me. I started a blog back in 2010 and have been in the social networking scene since then. I love meeting new people and helping them feel confident, and see their own beauty.
