One thing I have always loved are scallops. I think they are so cute and I feel like they are kind of girlie and maybe that’s why I like them so much. Plus, Spring is drawing near and I think scallops can be Springy, especially when you think of flower petals. Well, I thought I would make a fun Scalloped Frame.
This Scalloped Frame was such an easy and fun project to do! I wanted to play along with some of my contestants in the Sweet Charli Monthly Craft-A-Long for February. Since having my new Cricut Explore, I have been thinking of every way possible to make something new with it so here ya go!
This little wooden frame was bought at Michael’s for $1. I gave it a nice coat of light pink paint and let it dry. Meanwhile, I found this awesome glittered paper and cut out 20 1.5″ wide half-circles. With the new Cricut it took me only minutes! I took some hot glue and attached the scallops to the outside of the frame and ta-da!!
Oh yeah, how could I forget about the crown in the center? This was also cut out on my new Cricut Explore. This Scalloped Frame can be found in my daughters’ bedroom. I am trying to slowly change their room into mixed metals/glitter and light pink. The theme is Be{you}tiful. I am excited to share with you some other things that are in the works for this.
You can check out other fun scallop projects in this month’s Monthly Craft-A-Long. I have had contestants make a project according to the word, “scallop” and submit it for voting. Please go over and vote! There are some fun ideas and I have loved getting my readers involved. I would love for you to play along each month for a chance to win a prize for your project. Check back for details on next month’s Craft-A-Long challenge!
Wife to my Jr. High sweetheart, mother to three daughters. I have always loved being social and staying connected with other people who have similar interests to me. I started a blog back in 2010 and have been in the social networking scene since then. I love meeting new people and helping them feel confident, and see their own beauty.
