My SWEET Master Makeover Reveal!!

Before I begin I just want to give a huge shout out to Ikea & Lowe’s for having the most awesome stuff to use for my makeover.  This would not be possible without them!

YOU GUYS!  It’s done!  It’s really done!  I had the most fun time ever dreaming up and tackling my first actual bedroom makeover!  It took a lot of courage for me to come up with the dreaming & scheming of things, but once I got started, I wanted to keep going!

I just have a huge smile on my face right now because I thought this day would never come.  Here is what my bedroom looked like: (what on earth was I thinking putting gray and tans together?)

And drumroll please…

My room is so much brighter now, and happier, and cozier, and cheerfuller (?? yes, I made that up!)  Don‘t you just love the wooden planks behind my bed?  It’s amazing what a little texture can do.

I drew my color inspiration from some fabric I found at Hobby Lobby.  I feel like it has a Mediterranean feel to it.  A peaceful, breezy feel.

Love the sun shining through that window.  I’m sure there is some unwritten rule about putting curtains with shutters but guess what?  I don’t care!  I love curtains and love my shutters too!  I think it’s safe to say that our room is completely dark at night!  (we sleep well!)

This map of Puerto Rico has special meaning to us.

This pear printable coming soon…

Mirrors, Mirrors, on the wall.  I can’t get enough mirrors, ever!

My husband and I are like elementary sweethearts.  -No, really!  So I thought I would incorporate a lot of sentimental items into our room that would otherwise be collecting dust up in storage.  There’s more from where this came from…

And even more from where all of these pictures came from!  I will be posting more detailed shots, descriptions, and tutorials for most of the items in my room in the days to come.  Please let me know what you think about my bedroom!  I hope you love it as much as I  🙂

Kami, wow! I love your new space. I know how it feels to be living in a sad, tan cave. You did a wonderful job- love the wall planking and paint color. Also, drapes over shutters is a great look, trust me. You should be proud- the room looks amazing!ReplyCancel

Hey, I'm Kami!

Welcome to the blog

Wife to my Jr. High sweetheart, mother to three daughters. I have always loved being social and staying connected with other people who have similar interests to me. I started a blog back in 2010 and have been in the social networking scene since then. I love meeting new people and helping them feel confident, and see their own beauty.
