So, you have a special event that you’re going to and want freshly washed hair for it. You wash your hair, try doing sexy curls, only to have them fall out 10 minutes later and your roots go from lifted to flat in 5 minutes. So then you try an up-do. Your hair will not hold a bobby pin to save your life! It’s too clean!! What do you do?
I have used BigSexyHair’s dry shampoo for my dirty hair before, but have only found in the last little bit that it’s even better on clean hair! I know, it’s contradicting, right? Use dry shampoo to help the grease that you don’t have in your hair disappear?!
Now, I’m going to let you in on a little secret. I wash my hair maybe once every 5-6 days! Yes, I know, all of you once-a-day washers are thinking, “Ewww, gross”! But here’s how my hair works:
Day 1- Wash, let air dry, curl. My curls are wayyyy to curly and my hair is really too clean to do anything with. It won’t hold any tease/rats.
Day 2- Brush through hair, do a little teasing, a little hairspray and my curls are perfect!
Day 3- Curls are falling even more but I like it. Kind of a wavy-straight look. Love my hair on day 3 because it will do anything I want it to because it’s getting kind of dirty!
Day 4- Re-curl most of the pieces.
Day 5- Getting pretty dirty! Maybe I’ll wear pony-tail or a sock bun. If I decide to wear it down again, I will use the dry shampoo to get rid of the grease in front and on top.
Day 6- Either wash my hair or do a pony tail. Usually on Day 6 if I don’t have any plans and I’m staying home all day then you can find my hair in the same ponytail that I wore at the gym at 5am! LOL, reality…gross?
Anyhow…I hate Day 1, love days 3-4. Honestly, on day one my hair is so clean that it won’t hold my tease, my curls are way too tight, etc. If I do a braid in the front, I have tons of little flyers, and pokey-outies, etc. So what I do is spray a little BigSexyHair dry shampoo on my clean roots and it does the trick! It actually dirties it up a little bit so that I get enough lift where I need it and my hair becomes easier to work with.
Hope you like this little trick! Let me know if you use it for clean hair too!
