DIY Terra Cotta: Cake Stand!

There are endless possibilities on how you can make your own cake stand. Here is one to make with Terra Cotta pots/saucers.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Spray Paint – primer
Spray Paint – color
Spray Paint – sealer
Mod Podge
One 10″ terra cotta saucer (or your desired size)
One 7″ terra cotta saucer (” “)
One 5″ high terra cotta pot (” “)
One 6″ high terra cotta pot (” “)
Ribbon (enough to go around the circumference of your saucers)
Gorilla Glue
Scrapbook Paper
Distress Ink

Primer your pots and saucers, and then paint them your desired color

Let dry and then glue the pots to the saucers, and let dry for at least 2 hours with pressure as shown here:
Now you are going to cut circles to the size of the insides of your two saucers. Ink the edges to distress them a bit.
Now you can either mod podge them in and then seal them as shown HERE, or you can just set the paper circles in the dish and trade them out for different occasions (birthdays, showers, holidays, etc.)
You can stack the two together so you have a double tiered cake stand, or you can put them side-by-side…your choice!

Hey, I'm Kami!

Welcome to the blog

Wife to my Jr. High sweetheart, mother to three daughters. I have always loved being social and staying connected with other people who have similar interests to me. I started a blog back in 2010 and have been in the social networking scene since then. I love meeting new people and helping them feel confident, and see their own beauty.
