All you non-sewers… & { Linky Party }

All you non-sewers out there…
There’s a way you can make your own corsage wristlet, too!
Here’s what you need:

Ribbon (any kind)
1/2 in. silk/satin polyester ribbon (must be a polyester)
Velcro
Lighter
Hot glue
Any kind of flower or broach for embellishment

On both ends, you first need to put glue about 1/2 inch down on the full edge
Fold corners in like you see here
If you don’t have 1/2 in. silk ribbon, you can cut the ribbon like you see here, to make your own. It must be a polyester ribbon. Ribbed ribbon does not hold hot glue, the velcro will come right off. However, a silk/satin polyester ribbon holds it on really well. Cut about 1 1/2 inches.
Burn all edges of the ribbon you just cut
Next, put glue on the entire folded ends, top and bottom
Then wrap your 1/2 inch ribbon completely around it, and burn the edge to seal and prevent fraying
Cut your velcro to the size of your ends, and hot glue it on. One on the top side, one on the bottom. Then glue your embellishment on the top.
And you’re done! It’s guaranteed that no one will ever be wearing your same wristlets because of the endless possibilities you can make!

Happy Crafting!!

Hey, I'm Kami!

Welcome to the blog

Wife to my Jr. High sweetheart, mother to three daughters. I have always loved being social and staying connected with other people who have similar interests to me. I started a blog back in 2010 and have been in the social networking scene since then. I love meeting new people and helping them feel confident, and see their own beauty.
