Ironically, the day I’m made these, my little 1yr old decided it would be fun to unravel the whole TP roll in my bathroom! This all occurred while I was trying to get ready for my Studio 5 segment that you can watch HERE for a brief tutorial on these toilet paper boxes. (my how-to is the last video in the series)
2. Take an exacto knife and score a half circle on each of the ends of the roll; front and back.
3. If you choose to, you can cut some scrapbook paper to match the length of your roll and glue it around for added color or pattern.
4. Fold in the ends (all four of them) and your box will come together nicely. You can add a dab of hot glue to ONE of the ends to keep from anything falling out.
5. Finish off with a cute ribbon!
Not a loser! This is a Win! I make jewelry and gift a lot of it. These will be perfect!
Perfect for gifting homemade soap bars! Now I don’t have to spend extra $$ on packaging! Love this!
What a fabulous idea!
Recently on my blog I showed how people can use the toilet paper roll to wrap them around used rolls of gift wrapping paper. This to avoid that the wrapping paper unrolls itself, however this idea is really great!
I can’t wait to try it out and make some little packages myself! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for this great idea. I used it to make party favors for my daughter’s birthday party. No cellophane! You can see the results here: http://www.flotsamofthemind.com/2012/11/party-favors.html, where I’ve included a link back to your tutorial.
Thank you! I collect them but I had no any project. Now I have!
Love

LoveLoveLove! We’re using this idea in our homeschool co-op ! Thank you:)
I like to recycle stuff also. I keep the Christmas cards that I receive every year because they are too pretty to throw away. Last year I found a whole bunch I had been saving for years so I had a great idea. I cut the fronts off and all the ones that were the same size I put together.
1. Tape two fronts together on 3 sides (picture out) and insert your small gift inside then tape the open end.
2.Use a hole puncher and punch a hole in one corner.
3. Take a smaller card and punch a hole in its corner to use as a gift tag.
4. tie the small card to the package.
I put bookmarks in most of mine as gifts, but doiles, keychains or anysmall item will fit. They were so cute and everyone loved the idea.
Great Idea! Nannycoe do you have a tutorial for your card gift box? I’m a visual person and am having a hard time visualizing your project.

I was trying to help a friend give a thank you token to his guest for his retirement ceremony, this is a great idea. I love it. I see that I’m a few years behind but this is still an awesome idea.

Hi, I would use paper towel rolls instead, more sanitary, just cut the rolls to toilet size.
